I did. I'm also not willing to believe Lana will be in Briarcliff for 8 more months, despite Sister Merry Demon's prediction.
Besides all that, why would Lana give the kid the family name "Thredson"? Unless confessing about how she was abused is part of her tell-all book...or evidence in a trial against Thredson.
Here's something I noticed - isn't it odd that the central character of the 1960s narrative (Judy Martin) and the central character of the 2010s narrative (Johnny Morgan) have the same initials?
I don't find that odd in the slightest, but I don't ascribe any specific meaning to that.
You've stumbled upon the very definition of coincidence. Look harder and you're sure to find more. For example: Dylan McDermott, who's mother was killed by her boyfriend, is playing a character with issues stemming from an estranged mother who killed his father. Jessica Lange, who played the Angel of Death in All That Jazz, is playing a character that has been visited by the Angel of Death several times. 'sFun isn't it?
OK, fine. It's just there are a number of small patterns that are deliberately placed within the show - e.g., in Series 1 Lange's child is killed in a hit-and-run, in Series 2 she kills a child in a hit-and-run - so you can't blame me for being paranoid.
Is it just me or does Johnny Morgan wear Dexter Morgan's "kill-clothes" from Showtime's Dexter on the last scene where he confronts Lana (his mother)??
he does. I thought the same thing.
What I'd like to posit - with the arrival of a pregnant Grace in 1964 - is the possibility that Johnny Morgan is *not* the son of Oliver Thredson. That this is a nice sleight-of-hand trick and Johnny is in fact the child engineered by the aliens from Kit and Grace.
Arden would obviously keep Grace a secret in order to foster an alliance with the aliens, so the only record of a child being born in Briarcliff would be of baby Thredson. Whatever happened to that child, Johnny would believe he *WAS* baby Thredson and that the voices in his head are telling him to take up his father's mantle - when in fact, those voices are the chatter of alien communications networks, waiting to "Activate" him in the present day and do their bidding!
Only a theory, mind you.
Lana had her son after she got out of Briarcliff for good and ofc she didn't name him Thredson or Winters, she named him Morgan (or he got that name after being adopted). In her book she lied about him being stillborn and the reason she put him up for adoption was that "no kid should grow up knowing daddy's Bloody Face", so, like hell she named him Thredson. He discovered his own lineage much later.
Grace's kid grew up with Kit.
What do you think?
