In her monologue after the intro credits of episode 3, she uses dancing as a metaphor for love and sex and says it started when she saw her reflection in her father's eyes. Is she saying she was raped and referring to that eye contact, or just that her father admired her.... or what. It's creepy if she was raped because we saw that she was at the Acadamy from a young age, but it could explain why she is so hard.
I know this is really far off and random, but its just something I caught when rewatching.
