Not sure if anyone noticed this one....
Murder House:
Hotel:
While they have not confirmed her name yet, there are obvious references. Also, this helps place HOTEL chronologically after Murder House.
Liz Taylor is telling Donnovan you don't really need a resume or talent to be an actor "Just ask Lawrence Harvey".
Clever :)
I totally dont get the reference. I know in Murder House, Larry Harvey is the name of burned guy, the previous House owner, but Lawrence Harvey was also an actor. What do you think they are referring to?
I believe her character name was listed in the credits of the first season.
Right... They say her name multiple times in the Murder House but not yet in Hotel... so it's not confirmed it's the same character, really, until they do that.
That's why the inclusion of the dog is so important and also the inclusion of her profession. Right now, it's pretty safe to speculate, but at the same time, she could techinically be a different charcter. It would be silly to do that but until they mention her name on screen, we don't know.
Does that make more sense?
Who knows, that might be the only time we see her in Hotel. Could be nothing.
Oh, I must've missed when her name was confirmed. I was referring to them actually saying her name on screen. Where was it confirmed?

Also, at this point, we don't know who Edward Mordrake is going to "take" with him... although I think that one will be resolved sooner than later, still leaving the over-arching conflict.
I agree, knowing more about Twisty (who he is, his origin, his connection to The Freakshow, etc.) is a big one. Also, lest we forget, Elsa has no legs.
That sounds spot on! Did you watch the Paleyfest interview? Ryan Murphay said they wouldn't do Vampires on the show. If i can find the exact clip, i'll post it. I wouldn't hold my breathe though...
There is a flashback when Elsa and Jimmy are talking in the restaraunt and she says something to the effect of "If they ask when the Twins came...."
Do you think she is talking about Bet and Dot? Or Pepper and (i thinki) Salty?
What? It's all the same performance and there are as many people in the audience at the end as the beginning;two. The part you got right was the juxtaposed shot of a pensive Elsa. She isn't older. That's just what a 65 year old woman looks like when she isn't glammed up.
True, the audience does not change, but there is a clear contrast shot where the stage is full and in the next scene it is just her on stage, no confetti, etc.
I'm super confused though now that I rewatched it. The shot of her in the alternate make-up really stands out.
Oh, and can we talk about Pepper's twin?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I lost it.
I took the whole musical number as a flash-back. They show clips of different performances through-out the history of the Freakshow, kind of like the glory days, with elaborate sets, dancers, props, etc, and it ends with her on stage alone and no one in the audience. The scene of her looking "old" i think was just another costume or something. Maybe a symbolic image of her seeing herself as a failure.
lol, dude, grow up. It's not that serious.
haha, I know it's not that serious. Which is why it makes me wonder why people would ever say definitive statements about something they should instead be making predictions about.
You're right, not a big deal. I let my thoughts slip out in public.
Back to the point: Season 4 Pepper. Super glad she is coming back. It makes me wonder if the creaters will slowly tie parts of the other seasons together.
Very interested! Just joined today though so my rating is low, low, low. Let me know how I can up that and join as an admin. Thanks!
