Amelia Earhart is a aviation pioneer that was a subject of the extraterrestrials' human experimentation. She is a character in Double Feature portrayed by Lily Rabe.

Background[]

Amelia Mary Earhart was an American aviation pioneer and author. Earhart was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. She set many other records, was one of the first aviators to promote commercial air travel, wrote best-selling books about her flying experiences, and was instrumental in the formation of The Ninety-Nines, an organization for female pilots. She was born on July 24, 1897 in Atchison, Kansas.

Personality and Appearance[]

Despite her adventurous nature, record-breaking achievements, and significant influence, she experienced a profound state of confusion and disorientation upon being discovered by the military. It is clear she has severe PTSD and trauma from her experience with the extraterrestrials, but really wants to trust someone. She was a Caucasian woman in her late 30's with short blonde hair and faded lipstick.

Story[]

In 1954, President Dwight Eisenhower was informed of a crash near the Edwards Air Force Base with a seemingly unidentifiable creature inhabiting it.

He is accompanied by an army escort to the scene of the crash: an alien saucer emitting radiation. Nearby, a body, believed to be that of a child, is discovered. Not far from the crash site, a woman, her back covered with geometric scars, crouches in the shade of a scrub tree, naked. The President runs to her, covering her with his jacket, and she reveals that she is Amelia Earhart.

On the base she talks about her last flight, her instrumentation going crazy, everything going white, that's all she remembered before she arrived at the base. She says the scars are from experiments on her back. When he asks her who did it, she stutters and questions her own being and whom the president is before going into a frenzy of denial, in which she is sedated after. As they wait for the FBI to confirm who she is, the President’s aide reminds him that Earhart disappeared in 1937. She hasn’t aged a day but her picture is exactly the same as the one First Lady Eisenhower had of Earhart at her office. The doctor says examinations show that Earhart is 2 months pregnant, which startles Eisenhower.

In the same week, Earhart gives birth to a hybrid which murders her, and a few US army scientists. Eisenhower investigates the room and shoots the hybrid before closing Earhart's eyes, pronouncing her an American hero.

Quotes[]

  • Earhart to Eisenhower after her mental relapse: "Where am I? You're a liar, Franklin Roosevelt is president and what am I doing here? What am I doing here, what's going on? Where's Fred? Where's Fred, I want to talk to Fred, please! Please! I want to talk to Fred! Fred!? Where's Fred? Please? No! Fred!? I want to talk to Fred! I want to talk to Fred! You're not the president! You're not the president! Where is Fred!? Listen to me! Noooooooo!"
