Christine Ebersole (born February 21, 1953) is an American actress. She plays the previous Supreme witch Anna Leigh Leighton in American Horror Story: Coven.

Christine Ebersole was born in Winnetka, Illinois on the 21st of February, 1953. Ebersole attended New Trier High School and MacMurray College before kickstarting a career in acting and performance by enrolling at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Career[]
Ebersole has an extensive portfolio of performances over the years, beginning with her first role as Maxie McDermott in the television series One Life to Live. She also received a recurring role in Ryan's Hope shortly thereafter.
In 1981, Ebersole accepted a job as an anchor and spokesperson on Saturday Night Live. Ebersole made a return to the dramatic arts with a brief role in Love, Sidney and as Linda in Tootsie, starring Jessica Lange. Ebersole has had a steady line-up of work in the decades since, with her television credits including recurring roles on Valerie, The Cavanaughs, Rachel Gunn R.N, Ink, Related, Retired at 35, Sullivan & Son, Royal Pains, and many more.
Some of her most recent projects include roles on American Horror Story, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Madame Secretary, and the film The Wolf of Wall Street (2013).
