Jay Gantz is a lawyer distraught by the disappearance of his son. He is a character in American Horror Stories portrayed by Aaron Tveit.

Background[]

Jay Gantz was an overworked lawyer who decided to take a break from busy city life and go camping with his wife Addy and their little son, three-years-old Jacob. Jay thought is was good opportunity to get out of their comfort zones and reconnect with nature, although his wife is a little skeptical. The idyllic vacation soon turned into a nightmare when Jacob goes missing.

Jacob's disappearance caused a rift in their marriage, and for ten years Jay became obsessed with finding his son, covering the wall of his rented apartment with newspaper clippings, maps and annotations. The media case resulting from the disappearance, however, also led some neighbors to think Jay was responsible and acted maliciously against him.[1]
