You've reached the wall for Isaac.

(This is my wall. There are many like it, but this one is mine...)

It's a good, sturdy wall. It's had lots of things written on it before, so don't be shy. If you'd prefer a more private communication, I am available through Facebook, Google+ / Hangouts, and Wikia email

  • Hi, Isaac! Do you think we should revise the relationship parameter? The guideline says to include only the significant ones but has now become anything but.

Maybe "Relatives" and "Victims" parameters instead? Acquaintances, friends, frenemies, enemies, dislikes, etc. can very well be extrapolated by reading the article ...

    • I feel as if we ask this question every year. I'm tempted to get rid of them altogether, as they're increasingly ambiguous, meaningless, and spoilery.

        Loading editor
    • This is probably because we do it. I'm also trying to limit what is written in the cause of death (which has gradually become a recap of the death episode), but with little success.

I'm okay with removing it entirely.

    • Cause of death, resurrection, zombification, undeath, re-death, turning into a ghost, alternate timelines, passage to and return from the afterlife ...

Death has no meaning. Let's get rid of it.

    • They'll riot! I'd say just keeping the cause, ie. Strangled, overdose, drowning, it should suffice. A (resurrected) next to it if so much needed.

Just had to clean up a series of acquaintances from an article where I had already did it a couple of times.

  • Should we used the same format we used for Infantata/Thaddeus Montgomery and The Butcher/Thomasin White?

All official info still refer to her as Nurse Rita without giving away the identity that's revealed only in 9x03 (which will happen in the autogenerated templates if/when changing everything).

Edit: used "DISPLAYTITLE" to avoid that!

  • Hi, are you planning any design contest for this season?

  • Hello, Isaac! Thanks as always for updating the modules! I continue to have difficulties with them. I hope there will be no problems with the cast/Characters list again this year.

I created pages for red links you left, ie. Camp Redwood (location) and Bertie.

As for old issues, any advice on how we can prevent the Infobox relationships from becoming an endless list of unnecessary names this year too?

Any tips for the timeline? As usual I created the individual timeline 1984 (story)/Timeline, but editors keep adding to the generic one despite notice on top of the page; I don't know about you, but to me that page takes literally 5 minutes to load and is almost impossible to edit because is dead slow.

  • Hello FishTank, I wanted to give you some updates from Fandom! First up, we recently introduced a new feature on Fandom! Ever wanted to know what browser your readers are using? Or perhaps where your readers are from? Now you can with our new analytics feature! What I find interesting from your wikis analytics is your most searched term which is "1984"! Your top viewed page is Michael Langdon, so it's a good idea to keep that page updated! You can access analytics on the Special:Analytics page. If you'd like to do some more reading on this feature, we have a great Blog Post and  Help page to help you get started with this feature! Feel free to also ask away and share your cool findings in our analytics channel on our Official Fandom/Gamepedia Discord Server! You can also let me know if you have any questions.

    Editor Rewards

We also recently introduced a new editor rewards program! This program has given out everything from free movie tickets, event passes, Fandom swag and more! If you'd like to find out more information about this awesome program, or ask questions about the editor rewards program, I recommend you check out this blog post!

Let me know if I can answer any questions you may have on either of these great announcements!

  • Hello, Isaac! It seems that the Navbox/Characters still gives problems. I tried to edit the Infobox parameter, but still nothing.

I remember that if a character is main in a season, the coding does not allow them to appear as recurring in another line. But, strangely, Vivien does.

Do you know how or if we can fix it?

      Loading editor
    • Not sure, but at this point I'm nearly convinced to get rid of navboxes altogether (for various reasons),

        Loading editor
    • I find them useful, but I understand that they can create quite a few maintenance problems.

Others that have gotten out of hand are overdetailed character infoboxes.

  • Hi, Isaac!

News on the ninth season, titled 1984. Do you think it's too early to create the sidebars and templates?

  • Hi Isaac :)

Could you help me with my citation template please? I'm trying to get it to organize the references the way the AHS Wiki does, but I'm not getting anywhere.

  • I'm not sure how these "Body Count" and "List of Deaths in AHS" fit in with the other wiki subpages from the sidebar (tropes, connections, etc.). But if you decide to keep them, then I guess only one will suffice. If anything, they actually nailed the cause of death parameter.

    Edited: removed dead links.
