Scathach shows that she eternally controls whomever she bestows the boar's heart to. Should this be one of her abilities? Maybe Vitalum Vitalis, as the heart was able to somewhat heal Lee. Or maybe Concilium. I'm not sure what to categorize it as and if to categorize the ability at all.
There should be some problem with Category:Roanoke (story)/Characters because when I try to categorize a page, the category does not appear. And yet, going to see the category page the characters are listed there. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I thought I'd let you know to see if there is something to be solved
Should we get rid of the Season 6 page as a whole and just keep the "Roanoke" page? I'm saying that we do this until we officially know that there will be multiple stories in this season. That way, if there are multiple storylines, we unite them with one Season 6 page. But, for right now, we should keep only one Roanoke page, just to avoid confusion.
Hi! Don't want to be bitchy but I was insulted as homophobe (do you notice the odd irony of me being referred to as homophobe?) for describing a character following what is shown in AHS (you can read the absurd thing in the comment section on Will's page) but people (well, one in particular) constantly keep messing Liz Taylor page using masculine pronouns while Liz have always used feminine ones to describe herself in the show but magically nobody cares about... Can you do something to put an end to this? Because I don't want to argue with other editors.
It is not entirely surprising that people have issues with transgender pronouns, since it is a (relatively) new phenomenon for many (especially worldwide vs American). We were unsure in which "camp" to place Liz for a while, and no one referred to Liz (nor did Liz herself) for a while with either pronoun. We believed it was equally possible that she was a female impersonator or that she had adopted a female identity. Either way, we (the three admins) actively avoided using a pronoun, and so if we are to blame for the confusion, I apologize.
That said, Liz's page should now definitively use female pronouns for her life since moving into the Cortez.
If it doesn't, please Flag the page "Administrator Attention" rather than get into an edit war, and we'll take swift action. Feel free to do that for heated comments, too.
@Fishtank: Liz page was perfectly ok until the aforementioned editor decided to mess it up by using terms such as drag queen and masculine pronouns (who were proven false on the show itself) while three different editors (including me) had already spoke on Tristan page about how Liz was not a drag queen, also providing evidence of it... Although at first I didn't know how to refer to Liz when I wrote pages and I had to mention her I always repeated the name "Liz Taylor" in the sentences by avoiding the various "he" and "she" since I didn't know what to use for the reason you mentioned.
It is not my intention at all to argue with other editors so I reported the fact to OGRastamon's attention because he's the admin with whom I interacted more here. Indeed I apologize to you if I caused problems on Will's page, but that editor bothered me a lot. I only tried to be the most accurate in editing his page and he came to insult all of us filling the comments section with tedious and repetitive arguments full of hatred and resentment. He even came on another Wikia site that I run to insult me once again!
Hi! I wanted to ask you what is the right style to write the characters' quotes.
When there are the dialogues, for example, should I put the link that redirects to the character in each line or simply add the link to the name between the parentheses eg "Iris (to Sally)"? Because the various characters pages have different styles, some have many redirectional links and some of them only in the name between the brackets. I would not use the wrong style! I used to limit the use of the link, but all the quotes that I added were reedited to other users by adding links whenever the character is named, so was I editing in the wrong way?
It isn't necessary to have links within quotes at all. The general rule has been to link each linkable name the first time it appears on the page. At times, the Quotes section is the first/only place that a name appears. One day someone saw a link in a quote and repeated the pattern, resulting in the mistaken belief, held by many, that the links are required.
The right way to edit quotes is to add good ones and remove bad ones. And understanding the Dialogue template doesn't hurt. Nothing more.
I had a boring morning that led me to update the pages of some of my favorite characters (Donovan, Tristan and Will. I'm addicted to them, oh my!). I apologize for the deluge of editing. Hope I have not made mistakes. I also add some info to Ramona Royale and ms Ellison (the cybercondriac one).
I tried to be concise in the contents, without dwelling too much in the descriptions. The scen with Ramona made me think of stuff like Miami Vice, I do not know why. Maybe the years.
Yes, it was the quietest so far, but considering that the next two are the "Halloween specials" I think they wanted to save a bit of things for episodes four and five. Also, I like some situations that have evolved between the characters.
Some characters such as Tristan Duffy are missing in the box's list at the bottom of all characters pages, while a character like Ms. Ellison (mother of Alex Lowe's patient) is listed among the main characters. Shouldn't she be listed in the recurring section with Marcy and maybe adding other recurring characters such the laundress?
The "Recurring" section is autogenerated by how many episodes (beyond 1) a character appears. Tristan has not appeared in more than one episode yet, and was not listed in the Main Titles. Marcy has appeared in more than one episode, so she's on the list.
Ms Ellison shouldn't be listed there. Miss Evers should, but needs to have her Infobox/Character appearances edited to reflect the two episodes (so far) that she's appeared in. Then she'll show up.
The change of graphics is @OGRastamon / Larry playing with the look. Do you like it?
