• My Roanoke Nightmare vs Roanoke

For the first five trailer, the season was advertised as "American Horror Story: My Roanoke Nightmare". The sixth episode promo - which, if you don't know, should mark the plot twist of the season - is instead advertised as American Horror Story: Roanoke. Should we at this point expect to see something different? Will we see more behind the scenes of the "My Roanoke Nightmare" documentary, as shown in the promo with the character played by Cheyenne Jackson? A little rushed rescue, is the nightmare for the Millers really ended?

    Reenactment, or...?

I believe this has been one of the most discordant element of the season. Aside from the fact that if the characters played by Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates etc. were actors hired for the documentary, we'll ever see the true characters that underlie the events shown as at the moment we only saw real Matt, Shelby and Lee who were interviewed during the in-universe show? Also if this was a television program, I guess is a TV-MA program because we saw really creepy and gruesome scenes with people dismembered and stuff, not to mention the fact that it would be a great program considered the level of reenactment programs of this kind, which generally is very low.

"If you say the truth you don't have to remember anything"

In Chapter 5, Lee Miller says this sentence. If you remember, a few episodes ago Shelby during the interview said she didn't remember some details. And if what was said during the program was not actually 100% true to the events that happened?

Connection to Freak Show. Check. We know that Edward Philippe Mott was an ancestor of Dandy Mott (both, by the way, have their own way of throw a tantrum waving their arms and stamping their feet almost identically). However Roanoke House closely resembles the Murder House from season 1: cursed soil, ghosts of former owners including two allegedly lesbian nurses (Gigi teased Maria and Gladys, "insulting" the two women by telling them that they were lesbians; Bridget Jane and Miranda are partners in crime), "Croatoan", a medium hired for their services, creepy violent ghostly masked assailants etc. Should we expect connections to other seasons as well?

    The Polks

I do not know about you, but I want to know something more about this family of cannibals, especially thanks to the return of Frances Conroy as a gruesome Mama Polk. I dreamed of an interaction between Conroy and Bates since Coven, I would like to see something more on their alliance!

Something is not quite clear ...

    1. The Chen girl ghost and the hand imprint on Flora's arm. What does an action like that mean? And also why the Chen girl ghost looked more like a demon from The Grudge? Ok that she fell down the stairs and maybe she dislocated a limb, but this ghost was completely devoid of joints!

    2. Priscilla's request. What is the difference if Flora died first or last?

    3. Policeman. Not only the policeman  abandoned Lee in times of need in Chapter 5, but since his first appearance behaved suspiciously, implying also that he knows the Polks. Is he in cahoots with them?

    4. Scathach. If the character portrayed by Lady Gaga is "the one with the real power," where  was she during the last episode?

    • If scathach is the original supreme, how was coven able to have a supreme for all the years scathach was alive?

    • That's a good question...

    • Now this is even more confusing given that actors and the real people are now in the house at the same time. Does this mean that the characters of Lady Gaga, Frances Conroy, and Leslie Jones were only in-universe actors as well and that the real Butcher, Mama Polk, etc are going to be portrayed by other real-life actors?

    • yes, they were actors in the reenactment, seems obvious now. For the ghost of Roanoke I don't know, probably they will appear just in time to kill the remaining people but not with actual dialogues and scenes like those we've seen in the reenactment (ie. Scathach telling her story, The Butcher having long speeches to her own colony etc).

    • Im thinking mare winnigham is the butcher, finn wittrock is ambrose, and taissa farmiga is scathach...and matt bomer is mott

    • I would see Taissa more in the role of Priscilla... For the rest I don't know, I think I'm going to enjoy the pleasure of discovery, as when I heard Lily Rabe's voice in the first episode or the appearance of Frances Conroy, two of my favorite whose participation to the season was not in the least been mentioned!

    • I think taissage is going to play the actual original supreme. Either that, or we're goign to find out that the reason that house looks so similar to murder house is because...IT IS :O dun dun duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun lol

How does everyoen feel about the plot twist? I liked the plot twist but honestly it was overhyped and I already knew the show would revisit the House in one way or another. One does not simply experience something so dramatic and just leave it be

    • I liked this plot twist, as well as the whole season in general. It was time for them to remove the patinated aura that was present in previous seasons. And I hope they don't introduce teen drama... I can already see Farmiga and ghostly Rory in another boring relationship. #Agnestakecareofthem

    • Im thinking matt, shelby, and lee are so cool with going back because they made a pact with the witch to bring her more sacrifices...and shes probably gonna get knocked up lol..ryan did say this season was about children, and so far that hasnt really been shown...or its all a lie and thats why they arent too scared to return and one or all 3 are the murderers from the yr before...i cant wait til next week

    • Well the documentary already said that all of them except one is dead so.....

    • About the Chens looking like The Grudge ghosts, I think it has something to do with their cultural heritage. Asian people have their own mithology, and that include ghosts, which are very pale and have these strange features. Just like afroamerican "witches", which are in fact voodooists with a magic consisting in rithuals much more spiritual than just having powers like Salem witches.
